Volunteer

Volunteering enhances the services of Black Hills Works and enriches the lives of those we support by creating connections and opportunities.  Through community engagement, individuals can increase their involvement, contributions and accomplishments.  Whether receiving community volunteers or helping those we support to volunteer themselves, our Volunteer Coordination can help make it happen.  Groups and individuals are welcome.  Choose your passion, schedule, and setting.

Many volunteers share their own passions and interests with the people we suppport such as:

  • Recreational Activities (indoor and outdoor)
  • Rapid City Storm - Special Olympics
  • Reading Groups
  • Photography
  • Creative Art Class
  • Karaoke
  • Hiking
  • Music Appreciation
  • Cooking/Baking
  • Community activities
  • Wii Games & Sports
  • Beauty enhancements

Become a part of our team and touch the lives of those around us, while also enriching your own.

HAVE A NEED?

As community members, the people we support are also looking for opportunities to contribute. Please keep us in mind if your group has a need for caring volunteers.  Many are currently volunteering for groups such as the Humane Society and Cornerstone Rescue Mission. Black Hills Works is also home to the Community Pride Lions Club where members work together on community service project.
